The Seve Suite

We are proud to announce our latest initiative at Springwater Golf Club, The Seve Suite, named in honour of one of golf’s all time Superstars, Severiano Ballesteros.

About Seve

Born in Cantabria 9th April 1957, Seve was one of the finest players in the world from the mid 1970’s to the mid 1990’s, and won more than 90 tournaments in an illustrious career, including the Open Championship three times and the Masters Tournament twice.

In Dedication of Seve

As admirers of Seve’s great swashbuckling style, and wonderful personality, and his contribution to five Ryder Cup wins for the European team as player and Captain, we decided to dedicate this suite to his memory. Seve was lost to us 7th May 2011, when he tragically was unable to overcome his battle with brain cancer.

About the Suite

The Seve Suite has been completely designed and furnished with Seve in mind. Unconventional yet Respectful, Traditional yet Inspirational, Handsome yet Modest. The walls are adorned with pictures of Seve Ballasteros and his great friend José Maria Olazábal. It’s available for members and non-members meetings, lunches, visiting societies, small conferences, birthday parties, small weddings and so on.

Please feel free to ring us on 0115 965 4946, or drop by and chat with Clubhouse Manager Sue Atkins about using The Seve Suite for your next function. We can accommodate around 40 people in this bright, airy room, with views over the 18th green, and can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, or simply a buffet, or even just coffee and snacks. We have a fully stocked bar, licenced till midnight, and if you would like to combine this with some golf, we’d be delighted to arrange that.

For bigger parties, you can hire our larger function room, which can accommodate up to 140 people.
